The DoD SkillBridge Program provides an invaluable opportunity for Service members, Veterans, Reserve members and spouses to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, and/or internships during the last 180 days of service before transitioning from active duty to a civilian career. SkillBridge connects Service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences. Service members participating in SkillBridge receive their military compensation and benefits during the program.
The V3 Program connects service members with qualified companies to provide an invaluable opportunity for the member to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, and/or internships during the last 180 days of service before transitioning from active duty to a civilian career. As a V3 Certified Company, Altagrove has the opportunity to support transitioning service members by offering them an opportunity to experience civilian employment through 6-12 week internships to eligible applicants, with Commanders approval, and within six months prior to separation.
The Military Spouse Employment Program (MSEP) is a key initiative of the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program. MSEP is a targeted recruitment and employment solution that provides spouses with direct access to employers, like Altagrove, who are actively committed to recruiting them. Along with direct employment connections, the MSEP also provides career exploration, education, and readiness assistance for military veteran spouses.
Create comprehensive technical drawings (e.g., CAD, Visio) for shipboard network infrastructure, satellite communications, and related systems, ensuring they meet naval and commercial maritime standards. Design, develop, and integrate wireless systems (e.g., Wi-Fi, SATCOM, 5g) and networks for maritime platforms, ensuring reliable and secure communication capabilities at sea.
Manage and oversee federal accounting programs to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and contractual requirements. Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Assist with the consolidated SATCOM portfolio establishment, recommend SATCOM resource requirements, strategies processes and goal to reduce SATCOM costs and mitigate shortfalls. Assist to identify, quantify, and characterize requirements and capabilities for consolidated SATCOM Gateways.
Support all aspects of a Program Information Assurance (IA) process tailored to include cybersecurity, engineering, Test & Evaluation (T&E), and/or Security Control Assessor (SCA) under a Certification & Accreditation (C&A) and/or Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process.
Lead the installation, configuration, and optimization of shipboard Wi-Fi systems to ensure reliable and high-performance connectivity throughout the vessel. Troubleshoot and resolve Wi-Fi connectivity issues, performing regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance. Design and implement shipboard cabling infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and consistency. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving issues to ensure data availability and reliability. Implement data governance and security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Core Engineering, Solutions Engineering, and Program Management to deliver technical analysis, detailed system & network designs, resource planning, and hardware/software requirements.
This candidate shall provide a qualified workforce to function as a Network Engineer who can support defense related data instrumentation and data driven analysis capability, provide customer support, and guidance through operational support as well as value added recommendations in industry best practice and network efficiency.
